5.1. Account Creation

To access certain Services (such as managing subscription credits), you must create an account by:

• Providing your email address and choosing a password (with subsequent activation via a link sent to your email), or
• Registering when purchasing Credits or a Report, or
• Using a third-party account (e.g. Facebook, Google, or Apple) and granting EpicVIN.uk access.

5.2. Security and Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must promptly notify us at [email protected] of any unauthorised use or security breaches.

5.3. Account Closure

You may delete your account at any time by following the cancellation instructions within your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected].

6.1. General Use

You must use the Site in compliance with all applicable laws and these Terms. You are prohibited from using any automated systems or software to access, copy, monitor, or bypass any part of the Site. Unauthorised access, data mining, or other unauthorised activities are strictly prohibited.

6.2. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Use the Site for unlawful purposes or to promote illegal activities.
• Attempt to bypass or interfere with the proper functioning of the Site.
• Misrepresent your relationship to a vehicle when purchasing a report (select only those criteria that accurately reflect your situation).
• Transfer your account to any third party without our written permission.

Non-compliance may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.

7.1. Quality and Delivery

While we strive to offer a reliable service, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Disruptions due to technical issues, network failures, or other factors beyond our control may occur.

7.2. Technical Maintenance

We reserve the right to perform maintenance or updates, which may occasionally limit or suspend access to our Services.

7.3. Third-Party Content

We are not responsible for third-party content on the Site or linked websites. Any inaccuracies or errors in third-party data are not our liability.

8.1. Billing and Fees

Access to our paid Services requires an active account and payment of applicable fees. We may change our prices or billing methods at any time, and such changes will be notified via the Site and email. Any fees incurred, including applicable sales tax, are your responsibility.

8.2. Cancellation and Refunds

• Subscription Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your personal account. Cancellation must follow the on-screen instructions, and you should verify that a cancellation confirmation is displayed. If not, take a screenshot and email it to [email protected]. Requests by email or phone do not constitute a cancellation.
• Refund Policy: Please refer to our Refund Policy (integrated within these Terms) for conditions under which refunds may be granted. Generally, digital content (such as vehicle history reports) is non-refundable once accessed, except in cases of faulty or misrepresented content.

8.3. Charges and Account Security

You are solely responsible for all charges incurred through your account, including unauthorised transactions. If you suspect any unauthorised activity, contact us immediately.

9.1. Free Basic Vehicle Check

EpicVIN.uk offers a free basic vehicle check (“pre-check”) by allowing users to enter a VIN or registration number on our landing pages. This service is provided free of charge.

9.2. Upgrading to Paid Services

Following the free pre-check, you will be presented with options to upgrade to one of our paid services:

• Trial Subscription: Automatically converts to a full monthly subscription if not cancelled within three days.
• Full Monthly Subscription.
• Single Reports and Report Bundles as outlined above.

10.1. Service Features

a. Data Provision: Reports include previous sales records, price analytics, and odometer readings from auctions and classified websites.

b. No Guarantee: Information is provided “as is” and is not guaranteed to be accurate, timely, or complete.

c. Daily Report Limit: Users may generate up to 20 reports per day.

d. Scope of Order: Only information expressly available in the order will be provided.

e. Subscription Fee: The monthly fee is £50 (or as stated on the Site at the time of subscription).

f. Renewals: The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled by the User.

g. Cancellation Procedure:

• Log in to your account using your registered method (e.g. email, Facebook, or Google).
• Click on your account number (top right) and select “Subscriptions”.
• Choose “Cancel subscription” and follow the on-screen instructions.
• Confirm the cancellation; if a confirmation message does not appear, take a screenshot and email it to [email protected].

Note: Cancellation must be completed via your account; contacting support by email or phone does not cancel the subscription.

h. Permitted Use: This subscription is strictly for personal use. If commercial use is suspected, access will be terminated without refund.

i. Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription fees. You will be notified in advance; your continued use after the change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

j. Trial Subscription Specifics:

• Available to new customers only (one per customer).
• Lasts for 3 days (72 hours) from activation, during which up to 5 reports per day may be generated.
• If not cancelled within the trial period, the trial automatically converts into a monthly subscription at the standard rate.
